Dr. Susan Goodwyn

I worked as a counselor at Travis Air Force Base after completing a Master’s degree in London in Linguistics. I then trained as a Developmental Psychologist at UC Davis and spent the first part of my career as a professor of Psychology at CSU, Stanislaus. During this time I co-wrote a best-selling book called Baby Signs, which helps parents to teach their babies how to communicate before they are able to talk. My co-author and I also wrote Baby Minds, on infant cognitive development, and Baby Hearts, which covers their emotional development. After retiring from teaching, I retrained as a clinical psychologist and became a licensed psychologist. I enjoy working with women and men and couples.
